Grounded Planning: People-Centred Strategies for City Upgrading in Thailand and the Philippines
In late 2017, following the completion of the 3rdwave of the DPU/ACHR/CAN Young Professional’s Program, the DPU published its booklet entitled Grounded Planning: People-Centred Strategies for City Upgrading in Thailand and the Philippines with two chapters on the work of Openspace across Thailand.
City of the Future
The City of the Future Handbook was published in 2017 in partnership with Southeast Asia START Regional Committee—SEA START RC—and Mr Suppakorn Chinvanno. The book translates the technical research done by this organisation into information that is easily understandable by non-technical readers.
Building Resilient City in BMR
Building Resilient City in BMR was published in 2016 in partnership with Thammasat University. This book is a visual representation of the findings of the 5-year research of the Thai team of the Coastal Cities at Risk (CCaR) project.
Community at the Heart of Cultural Heritage Management
In 2016, Openspace contributed a chapter on the renovation of the Dancing House in Nang Lerng, Bangkok to the CAN publication Community Voices: Preserving the Local Heritage.
DAA - Differently Abled Architecture
Differently Abled Architecture—DAA—was published in 2012 in partnership with The Institute of Health Promotion for People with Disability. This book is a collection of 17 cases of people with disabilities in two Northern Thai provinces—Lampang and Chiang Rai.
