In its third year, Buffalo Field Festival was more inclusive and site specific than ever. 

Buffalo Field Festival is a yearly performing arts festival in Nang Lerng, an old town community in Bangkok. Openspace has worked on various projects in Nang Lerng for close to ten years and Buffalo Field is the latest venture engaging the local community. 

The festival grows year-on-year; in 2019, we were joined by 17 artists from all over the world – including Thai artists and artists from within the community, making this our most inclusive festival yet.

In previous years, the festival consisted of embodied movement workshops and a program of performances. This year, we added a local studio component with academics from Australia, the US, and a research unit from Thailand.
