Background

The Thai Health Promotion Foundation has been working with the Ministry of Social Development and Human Security on mainstreaming Universal Design in Thailand. They have managed to push Universal Design, and in 2013, convinced the Prime Minister to declare that, in two years, all government buildings and areas in Thailand would have an appropriate built environment for everyone, including people with disabilities and elderly people, followed by non-government areas.

Kick Off Thailand

The event Kick Off Thailand was organised as a response to this memorable statement, to capitalise on the momentum. The event was held at the Government House and joined organisations working with people with disabilities and elderly people, as well as foundations working in this field, architects and studios from different universities.

During Kick Off Thailand, there was an area for goods from different areas, an area for people with disabilities to discuss the work they do, and many more. Tar-Saeng Studio designed the booth of the Thai Health Promotion Foundation, where we also exhibited our projects.
